is now scheduling Author Visits. Mrs. Stotts itinerary consists
of two presentations. |

The
first presentation is for the student body during school hours.
She will read her book to students and discuss the importance of
establishing a consistent reading routine. Reward prizes for the
poster contests.

The
second presentation will be for parents. This presentation can be
held on the same day as the student presentation during the evening
hours. Schools should have activities scheduled for the students
so they are not in the workshop with the parents.

Start
the "No TV Saturday Morning Challenge"
- Students
and parents will participate in a no television day

They
will participate in quality time family activities
(Reading,
Board Games, Choral, Echo, Readers Theater, etc.)
- Students
must submit a report on how they spent their No TV Saturday. The reports
can be in the form of a poem, song, poster, etc. All participating
students will recieve a Bookmark and pencil

Be
Creative
There will be
Big Winners chosen and awarded on the day of the author visit.
One winner from K-2, one from 3-6 and one overall winner.
Each win a great
prize - pack.
